Meghan Jay is the principal designer of Meghan Jay Design, a residential interior design studio based in Evanston, Illinois, serving the greater Chicago area. Meghan specializes in layered interiors that blend modern style with vintage character, with projects ranging from full-home furnishings to whole-home renovations. Meghan’s approach centers on timeless design that balances bold color, pattern, and texture with classic foundations. At Meghan Jay Design, each space is curated with a mix of new and found pieces, often sourced through estate sales and vintage markets across the country. Her designs reflect both her client’s daily routines and personal histories, with a special focus on character-driven details that last. A longtime vintage collector and trained designer, Meghan studied residential interior design through NYIAD and previously served as COO and creative director at a leading Chicago design firm. Originally from Connecticut and a former New Yorker, she brings a direct, considered sensibility to her Chicago projects—along with a love of French influences, quirky treasures, and interiors that spark joy.
