About Centered by Design
Claire Staszak is the founder of Centered by Design, a Chicago-based interior design firm known for its expertise in crafting timeless, storied interiors. The studio works collaboratively with clients to align personal taste with the architecture and era of each home, creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional. From new builds to restorations, Centered by Design reinvents and preserves, ushering homes into a modern age while thoughtfully linking them to the past. Inspired by her love of historical architecture and a well-trained eye for interiors, Claire founded Centered by Design with a passion for personal wellness. She holds a Certificate of Kitchen and Bath Design from Harper College and studied interior design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Claire's work, particularly in designing and restoring kitchens, has been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Domino, Chicago Tribune, HGTV, and LUXE.

I only have a few questions. Is a consultation call right for me?
Absolutely. Whether you're seeking fast-acting advice or diving into a full transformation, our community of designers is flexible when it comes to project size and scope. No question is too small, and no vision is too grand.
How can I prep for my consultation call?
Gather your design ideas and all forms of inspiration (think: sketches, photos, color swatches and images from your chosen designer’s portfolio). The more prepared you are for your consultation, the more personalized and productive your consultation call will be. You are welcome to have family members and architects present to optimize your time.
How long are the consultation calls?
You have two options — 30 minutes and 60 minutes. The half-hour call is great for quick questions and decision making, like choosing paint colors or reviewing some of your selections before pulling the trigger. I'm ready to revamp my entire home. Consultation call or full-service booking?
You're in control. Submit a full-service inquiry for a traditional interior design experience where you have a professional taking a hands-on approach from start to finish. How do I discover the ideal designer for my project?
Interior designers in the TALD community have been vetted and extended an invitation by our membership team. What is your cancellation policy?
Please reschedule or cancel your consultation 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full.
