Melissa Benham is the founder and principal of Studio Emblem & Co., a full-service interior design studio based in Southern California. With a client-focused approach rooted in listening, collaboration, and conceptual thinking, Melissa leads her team in creating interiors that reflect a distinct point of view. Studio Emblem is known for composing tailored spaces that marry artistic expression with function, often through thoughtful use of honest materials and collaboration with skilled artisans. Drawing from a background that spans Southern California, the Midwest, and New York, Melissa brings a balanced perspective to every project. Her early career designing for Ralph Lauren, André Balazs Properties, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts shaped a refined yet practical sensibility. Before founding Studio Emblem & Co., Melissa was a founding partner at Studio Gild, where she led residential and hospitality work nationwide. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Parsons School of Design, with additional training at Richmond American University in London.
