Laura Hur leads Lorla Studio, a Washington, DC based interior design studio specializing in luxury residential renovations and custom hospitality spaces. With a decade of experience in the design world, Laura merges her social sciences background with extensive knowledge in the built environment. Her holistic approach is equal parts humanistic and analytical, focusing on user needs, client collaboration, and a deep understanding of historical contexts to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Laura holds an MS in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and a BA in Sociology from the University of Richmond. Her expertise, particularly in hospitality projects, was refined through her work at top New York design firms, including JFD Studio and Gensler.

Absolutely. Whether you're seeking fast-acting advice or diving into a full transformation, our community of designers is flexible when it comes to project size and scope. No question is too small, and no vision is too grand.
How can I prep for my consultation call?
Gather your design ideas and all forms of inspiration (think: sketches, photos, color swatches and images from your chosen designer’s portfolio). The more prepared you are for your consultation, the more personalized and productive your consultation call will be. You are welcome to have family members and architects present to optimize your time.
How long are the consultation calls?
You have two options — 30 minutes and 60 minutes. The half-hour call is great for quick questions and decision making, like choosing paint colors or reviewing some of your selections before pulling the trigger. You're in control. Submit a full-service inquiry for a traditional interior design experience where you have a professional taking a hands-on approach from start to finish.
