Nellie Howard Ossi is the principal of her namesake design firm and lead designer at James Michael Howard, a design firm founded by her father when she was just seven years old. Growing up surrounded by the world of decorating and design, Nellie developed a personal style that reflects her coastal Southern upbringing with a fresh take on timeless design and a deep appreciation for the classics. In addition to her design work, Nellie manages and buys for the Jacksonville Beach location of Mrs. Howard/max & company, the retail division of the family business. Known for her hands-on approach, Nellie frequently travels to furniture markets to ensure she recommends only the best products to her clients. Absolutely. Whether you're seeking fast-acting advice or diving into a full transformation, our community of designers is flexible when it comes to project size and scope. No question is too small, and no vision is too grand.
How can I prep for my consultation call?
Gather your design ideas and all forms of inspiration (think: sketches, photos, color swatches and images from your chosen designer’s portfolio). The more prepared you are for your consultation, the more personalized and productive your consultation call will be. You are welcome to have family members and architects present to optimize your time.
How long are the consultation calls?
You have two options — 30 minutes and 60 minutes. The half-hour call is great for quick questions and decision making, like choosing paint colors or reviewing some of your selections before pulling the trigger.
