Scott Formby is the founder of Scott Formby Design, with studios in Los Angeles and New York City. His design approach focuses on creating distinctive spaces that reflect each client's unique personality, with a strong emphasis on individuality and sophistication. Scott believes that interiors and exteriors should be designed in tandem, drawing inspiration from color, texture, pattern, and artisanal influences from around the world. Each space is functional and deeply personal, often incorporating clients' valued art and collections. Scott's design journey began with a part-time role at Ralph Lauren’s home design division while studying at Parsons School of Design and Brown University. After a successful career in fashion as Creative Director for brands like Ralph Lauren, J. CREW, and Geoffrey Beene, he returned to interior design as Global Creative Director at Frette. There, he designed residences worldwide and developed products for top hospitality brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Rosewood Hotels, and Soho House.
