Elise and her team also design a line of painterly wallpapers, adding expressive, artful touches to their projects. Elise brings a sense of rich nostalgia and narrative vision to her work, while centering the needs of daily life. Her projects are at once elevated, whimsical, and personal, with a measured coziness that prioritizes living. A native Bostonian, Elise’s aesthetic is influenced by historic New England architecture, with doses of bicoastal classics and modern design elements. A classically trained interior designer with a background in the decorative arts, Elise grounds each space with vintage, handmade, and heirloom pieces, pairing them thoughtfully with color and pattern. She believes in using eco-friendly materials, supporting small businesses, and incorporating artisan-made objects to add depth and timelessness to every design. Elise oversees each project from her Chicago studio with a collaborative approach, ensuring spaces are personalized and that clients feel connected to their environment. She holds a BFA in Interior Design and Architectural Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master’s in Design Strategy from the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology.
